I’m lucky to work from home. Yes, it means that I can wear comfy clothes and get whatever I like for lunch. Also, it means that I’m always near a power source, which is vital with a phone that never lasts the whole day.

Back in SA, and when I’d travel or whatnot, I had a whole collection of power banks. I’ve had branded ones, gorgeous pink ones that only worked with iPhones, etc. So when the team behind Halo asked if I was interested in reviewing their power bank, of course I jumped at the chance.  Continue Reading

Florence - This Mobile Game Rekindled Something in My Soul

In many ways, I feel very out of touch with the latest developments in gaming and tech. I know, I’m a bad geek/gamer. But life is too busy to read that same daily gaming news that I used to write myself. I do listen to a friend’s podcast, though – as I mentioned recently – which is how I heard about Florence.

Matty raved about it on the podcast a while back, and then Sandy tweeted about how great it was while traveling back from E3. For a couple bucks, I figured it was worth a shot. And now I want to add my voice to those raving about it, especially if you care about love, art, or things that set your soul on fire.

Even before we gave Harley her own tablet, we were looking for video content for her. The reality is that screen time isn’t 100% evil, and honestly, sometimes we all need time to zone out – her in front of a video and me without a two-year-old demanding my complete attention. That said, I still like to encourage her to watch things that expand her mind, teach her something, or are generally worthwhile.
